You Have the Data. Now Make It Work.
Getting entries in is the easy part. The real value is what you do with them once they're there.
Scenario: You want to know if you can afford something two weeks from now.
Open the dashboard. Scroll to that date in the entry list. The running balance indicator between entries shows your projected balance at that exact point. If it goes red before you get there, you know before you spend. Timeline Projection in Pro mode makes this even faster. Pick the date, see the number, decide.
Scenario: You added an entry but want to model it without committing.
Set it to Disabled. It sits in your list but doesn't touch any balance calculation. Change the amount, change the date, toggle it back on, watch the numbers update in real time. It's a sandbox inside your live budget. Use it before any major purchase or payment timing decision.
Scenario: You want to reconcile without logging every $4 coffee.
Mark recurring entries as Processed when they clear your bank. For small daily transactions, skip the logging. Once a week, check your actual bank balance and add a one-time correction entry to reset the system. You get accuracy without obsession. Current Balance stays honest without you tracking every transaction.
Scenario: You have six monthly bills and want them all in one operation.
Build a template for each. On the first of the month, open Payment Templates, select all, hit Bulk Send, pick the date. Every bill creates an entry simultaneously. Takes 30 seconds. The dashboard updates immediately with all six entries in the projection.
Scenario: You linked a debt and want to see how a payment affects the timeline.
In the Debt Consolidator, add a payment to a debt. The linked entry appears in your main dashboard automatically. That payment now shows in the running balance between entries. You see exactly where your balance dips on the payment date and what it recovers to by the end of the month. Undo is always available. Nothing in the debt module is permanent until you decide it is.
Scenario: Five entries have the wrong category.
Double-tap any entry to enter selection mode. Tap the others. The selection panel appears at the bottom. Bulk-edit the category in one operation. Or bulk-mark as Done, bulk-export to CSV, bulk-delete. Selection mode works on the free tier. No subscription required.
Scenario: You want to understand last month before planning next month.
Open Monthly Comparison. Select two months. Toggle between Projected, Processed, and Settled views. The category breakdown shows exactly where the variance came from. Food up $80. Gas down $40. One screen. No manual calculation. Pro Max adds the AI summary, which turns the numbers into a plain-language narrative you can act on immediately.
The data is yours. These are the operations that make it useful.
